Who we are

Reprise (the app, the Reprise timer and this website) is provided by Lean6 Technology Ltd. (“Lean6”, “we”), Alberta, Canada. Questions or requests about personal information go to our privacy contact at legal@lean6.ca.

The short version

  • The Reprise app works without an account. Video, clips and settings stay on your device. We don’t receive them.
  • The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.
  • If you choose to post a clip to a service such as YouTube, it goes from your device directly to that service, using a sign-in you can revoke at any time.
  • On this website, the only information we collect is what you type into the contact form.

The Reprise app

Camera and microphone. Used only to record the piste while capture is running. Recordings are processed and stored on your device; a rolling buffer is discarded when capture stops, and clips are kept until you delete them or the app’s storage limit removes the oldest ones you haven’t kept.

Bluetooth. Used to connect to a Reprise timer and read your scoring box’s state (lights, score, clock, cards). It is not used to locate you.

Files you export (to Files, AirDrop or another app) leave Reprise under your control and that destination’s terms.

We do not collect device identifiers, location, contacts or usage data from the app.

Posting to YouTube and other services (optional)

Reprise may let you sign in to a video service such as YouTube to publish a clip. When you do:

  • You sign in on the service’s own page. Reprise receives an access token, which is stored only in your device’s secure storage (the Keychain on Apple devices). We never see your password.
  • Reprise uses that access only to upload the clips you choose, with the title, description and privacy setting you choose, and to show you the upload’s status. It does not read, change or delete anything else in your account.
  • Uploads go directly from your device to the service. Neither the clip nor the token passes through our servers.
  • You can sign out in Reprise at any time, which deletes the token from your device, and you can revoke Reprise’s access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Reprise uses YouTube API Services. By posting to YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Reprise’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The Reprise timer

The timer reads the scoring box’s data port and broadcasts the bout state over Bluetooth so nearby devices running Reprise can use it. It stores no personal information. The scoreboard data it broadcasts is the same information the scoring box displays publicly and is not encrypted.

This website

Contact and interest form. If you submit it we collect your name, email, and whatever you choose to add (organization, role, number of pistes, region, device, message). We use it to reply to you and to contact you about Reprise. It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in Montréal, Canada, operated for us by Google as a service provider. We keep it for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or less if you ask us to delete it. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else.

No cookies, no analytics. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.

Service providers. The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting and uses Google Fonts. Like any web host, these services receive your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and fonts, under Google’s privacy policy.

Recording people

Reprise records whoever is on the piste. Clubs, associations and other users who operate Reprise are responsible for having the consent required where they record, including from a parent or guardian for minors, and for how they share recordings. Lean6 does not receive these recordings.

Children

Reprise is intended for use by clubs, officials and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app or the website. If you believe a child has submitted information through our form, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act) you can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete it. Email legal@lean6.ca; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

Form submissions can be written but never read from the web; only Lean6 staff can read them. Access tokens for third-party services stay in your device’s secure storage. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we limit what we hold to make any exposure as small as possible.

Changes

If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the date below. If a change affects information we already hold, we’ll tell you before it takes effect.
